MURUVVAT AGROSANOAT FSV: COTTON AND WHEAT HARVEST UPDATES

Cotton quota fulfilled

In 2009 Muruvvat-Agrosanoat  planted 12,000 hectares of cotton with signed contracts for the delivery of  19,047 tons of raw cotton.

As at 4 November, all agro-industrial units of the company had fulfilled their contractual cotton procurement and quota supply obligations. Sales volumes have exceeded 22,178 tons which is equivalent to 101.8% compared to the same date last year. State supply quota contracts have been fulfilled for 116.5 %.

During the year, a varietal seed breeding laboratory started work in Sardoba area of the company’s operations.  40 tons of   super stock seed material of Navbahor-2 variety and 762 tons of AN-Bayavut-2 seed variety have been picked and supplied to the state.

Farmers are currently proceeding with the remaining cotton harvest. Above-target volume is expected to be 4,000 tons, which means that the business plan will be exceeded by 21%.

Wheat
As of today, all agricultural units have completed planting grains for the 2010 harvest which is being cultivated on a 5,570 hectare area.

2010 wheat contractual sales are going to reach 11,092 tons, of which 4,172 tons will be stock variety seed wheat.

Tillage is presently under way. Over 50 plough tractor units of HTZ-172, HTZ-181, MHM-140 models are being utilized in these operations.

Three excavators, two dozers and six drainage-flushing machines are currently busy in simultaneous cleaning of drainage and collector system.
